I am planning a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife in november. Neither of us have ever been to vegas. 8 of our friends are going to meet us there. I am looking for suggestions where to eat, drink, and have fun. We are only there for 3 days (thursday - Sunday) so I really need some help knowing where to go for drinks, dinner and fun things besides the casion. Looking forward to your tips - I really want this to be a special b-day for her.

For a excellent dining experience I would suggest Prime at Bellago. I think the food here is to die for and the ambience is fantastic. Request a fountian view and she will be amazed. The food is excellent. I had a strip steak last time I was there that just melted in my mouth. The drinks are some of the best I have ever had. Try the cable car the signature drink it is outstanding. For two of us with drinks salads sides and entree was $150. Well worth it.
