We have a place to stay in Vegas so do not rent a hotel room - will we be able to get comps for things other than a room? Especially since we will not be staying in that hotel?

Or, are the comps only applied to your room bill at check out?

At the Harrahs properties you use one card for all properties and you earn points that can be used for food, so no you don%26#39;t have to stay there. most places have a system like that.

Depending on how much money you invest and how many comp points you earn, you can get meals, shows, gift store purchases, etc. comped. Be sure to get a players card and use it every time you play, whether it is the slots or table games. When you are through playing at a casino, go to the players club and ask if you have earned any comps. They will let you know what is available to you. Some of them still give cash back, but most have resorted to ';free play'; that is mailed out to be used at a later date. Some casinos give ';gifts'; when you earn a set number of points. We only stay in one hotel on each trip, but play in many. We check comps in all that we play in.

you can still get cash back from the mgm hotels and cash in your points at the last place you gamble.

The Wynn is much simpler. you get double free play for whatever cashback you earn, but you cannot get cash. the nice thing is, you can acquire the free play right at a slot if you have a pin number with your players card. pretty slick and sophisticated. And the free play is good on any machine or you can keep switching machines.
