Hi,
I haven%26#39;t been to LV for several years, but am considering a trip soon. In the past, I played the nickel slots almost exclusively. However, after reading this forum, and several other websites, I understand that the old fashioned type nickel machines (';double diamonds'; was one, I think, and ';Haywire';) have been replaced by new machines with mutiples lines that accept multiple coins at a time. The old ones accepted multiple credits per spin, but they were mostly 3 line slots, not 6+. Do they still have the old kind? Ones that pay out coins (not credits), have no more than 3 lines, and are pretty simple? (And cheap!!! relatively speaking, of course..)
If anybody knows of what I speak, and where some, or hopefully many, can be found, please let me know!
Thank you!
Any old-fashioned nickel machines left? Where??!!
Try the Riveria Hotel nicklelodeon. I think they have some of the
older machines there.

You might want to check up on Fremont St., in particular The Las Vegas Club. I remember them having a selection of nickel Double Diamonds. Check Sams Tome, The Silverton and Arizona Charlie%26#39;s as well. Three mentioned are all offstrip.
Try the Western on east Fremont.
Not the plushest of localions.
That is where old slot machines go to die.
There are a few places Downtown that have some- in the Fremont- a few banks right near the buffet entrance and in the Golden Gate along the wall by the Fremont Street entrance and also near the Bay City Diner there- just a few like wild cherries and double diamonds, but I enjoy them as well. Ther are also about 6-8 in the El Cortez not far from the roulette tables and they have always paid fairly well .
Gold Coast has about 20 of them opposite Seatles Best coffee stand.
Slots A Fun still has nickel slots that spit out real nickels; a wide variety so you might find what you%26#39;re looking for.
