sharing a room

Hi, I%26#39;m a 42yr old girl(woman!!!) from England arriving in Vegas on 20 September for 7nites. I was going to stay in the hostel on Fremont Streetbut was wondering if anyone was in the same situation and wanted to share a hotel/motel room, no strings just purely to keep the cost down.

My previous post may have said sept 27th but its definitely the 20th

It isn%26#39;t the same in the US as in the UK where sharing a room is frequently done. We just don%26#39;t do it. Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

there a loads of cheap hotel options in vegas without having to share or be in a hostel!

there are plenty for less than 拢290 for the week.

Stjamesjoy you must be mad to share, alot of mad people out there. Theres plenty of cheap hotels around - Straposhere give rooms away!

Most of the hostels in the USA are used by people in their late teens/early 20s who have very little money to spend. It is an ';adventure'; that most people would avoid if they can. I have not stayed in the hostel in Vegas, but from what I have read about it, it is not in a good area. I would not want to share a room with a stranger-you are asking for trouble.

I%26#39;ve got to agree that perhaps asking to share might be a bad Idea. but I%26#39;ve stayed at hostels all ove the world and have found them to be the highlight of the holiday.

As`a lone traveller hostel can be a very good meeting place for other lone travellers from around the globe.

but there are some very cheap hotels in L/V so I would just shop around.

not wanting to sound too presumptious but if you are a lone traveller and wanting some company then Me and my colleague are attending a conference in Las Vegas from the 17th -24th we are planning all sorts of days out you can quite happily tag along.

We are both attatched ( one married) and late 30s %26amp; early 40s and not loonies!! just sensible blokes out to see the sites of las Vegas.

this offer of meeting up is open to anyone in vegas during our dates, lets meet up and have a laugh!

Stjamesjoy, the first thing you need to do is post a pictiure of yourself. Secondly, if you aren%26#39;t so good looking, you might want to mention incentives, like whether you own a boat, or whether you know how to clean fish, or whether you are loaded. Sometimes, listing the incentives is more productive than the picture.

Go to the Gold Coast or Stratosphere

You can pay for the room with pocket change

and still be a 25 min walk from mid-strip

but i wouldnt walk if i was you!
