Mastercard?

I carry a mastercard and was told by someone that it isn%26#39;t always accepted in Las Vegas...is this true? I wanted to use it as my main from of paying but thought I would check this out in advance (just in case it is true).

if it is a credit, not debit, you are fine. debit cards present a set of issues at hotels and rental cars. do a search - this is discussed often and u will get much info. mastercard credit card is a non-issue.

My mastercard card has never been refused anywhere in the US but it is credit not debit.

Even if its a debit card it will not be refused...however if you use it for your hotel, they may charge a deposit . At the Venetian it would have been $250 so I used my AmEx instead. Same holds true for many rental car companies. The hold will eventually fall off, but some people cant afford to have that much money tied up.

I have a question. The person who told you this. Do they work for VISA?
