It was closed down when I recently passed by. It seems a little strange that a place with the popularity of Sam Woo could let itself fall below standards to that extent, but for now it%26#39;s true!
I have always ate at the one in Irvine, but did want to eat at the one in LV. I guess that was a blessing in disguise.
What?? The legendary Sam Woo%26#39;s is closed?? Chinese restaurants are notorious for health violations, so it%26#39;s not surprising if they got shut down for that. But don%26#39;t be surprised that they%26#39;ve probably re-opened by now. I hope so because that place is GREAT!
It was a decent place to eat. As far as those health violations are concerned: I have been reading them for 14 years and sooner or later every restaurant in Vegas has made that list-those connected to the hotel/casinos, pool bars, buffets, independant ones, etc. Your choices would be slim to none if you only ate at restaurants that never have been cited. In a week or so they are reinspected and most are given an A or B rating. I wouldn%26#39;t worry about those reports.
