Sam's Town

Is Sam%26#39;s Town worth a visit? Can you find $5 black jack there most of the time?

Sam's Town

I would say it is worth the visit only if you have a car at your disposal. I would not take a cab or the shuttle to get there. That%26#39;s just my opinion.

Sam's Town

I always have good luck at Sam%26#39;s. Yes, they do have $5 BJ, lots of tables.

We always go there %26amp; Boulder Station (right up the street) for at least half a day when we%26#39;re in Vegas.

Definitely worth it. See the water and light show for free with the wolf that comes out and howls. I go to Fellini%26#39;s for dinner at five.

Absolutely. I%26#39;ve driven there and I%26#39;ve taken the shuttle. While the shuttle can be a bit long, it is still convenient and combortable. Sam%26#39;s is a locals type casino, very large, and (I think) looser slots. It has a western theme. Their buffet is one of our favorites and Billy Bob%26#39;s Steakhouse is excellent. I always spend at least a day here when in LV, and like previous poster said, if you have a car, drop in at Boulder Station also. Have fun.

Sam%26#39;s Town has the best VP machines around. They have always treated me well. It is a local place(nothing fancy) but I have always liked the ';feel'; of it. I usually just drive there but the shuttle is convenient- last time I saw them they were full size buses. I also saw a sign that said they now stop at the BC. I always try to get there once when I visit Vegas.

It is if you are a VP or low roller BJ player. They also have a really good buffet and steakhouse.

Only problen with going there to play Video Poker is they only have a small number of better than full pay machines. So what you usually find is locals from the VP club there parked for hours on the machines, with someone lurking and waiting to get on them.

We%26#39;ll rent a car at least one day and include it in our visit. Thanks for the input.

vegashomeboy - I play VP but what do you mean by the term full pay machines?

gramsclp,

Wow if you do not know what Full Pay or better means, play VP, you need to do some homework because you are likely getting gyped.

Full Pay means the machine pays back 100% of what is put in. In fact some machines pay back more than 100%.

Sam%26#39;s Town has 3 machines that payback 101.4%, and 61 that payback 100% or better.

Don%26#39;t bother looking for any of these machines on the strip, only two casinos on the strip at last count had them, and you can count the number on your hands.

Start here and come back with questions. This is the bible of VP, and these people know more about VP than anybody on the face of this planet.

Also use the search feature here and search for a topic I opened some time back for good info.
