We (2 couples, all of us are 29) are going to Vegas at the end of September. We%26#39;d like to go to a show on one of the nights we are down there. Any recommendations?
I was pushing for a Cirque Show but the guys don%26#39;t seem interested. They were thinking Wayne Newton or Penn %26amp; Teller. Any other ideas? And is it cheaper to buy show tickets in advance before we leave?
Thanks!
Show recommendations in Vegas? We saw Blue Man Group about 2 years ago and loved it!! My husband would see them again this trip but I want to see something different so we opted for a Circ show.
Show recommendations in Vegas? If you can get the guys to go for it, Mystere is awesome.
I love acrobats, so I was dying to see it. My hubby really enjoyed it too, and he doesn%26#39;t care about that stuff.
Second City is awesome, a crowd pleaser but not a production show. I like variety shows, everyone may enjoy one of those. They usually have comedy, magic, acrobats, jugglers, etc. Some of them have showgirls, but I think they are kinda boring. The rest of the show is alsways enjoyable.
Penn and Telller -fine but I would keep pushing for a Cirque show. I loved the 3 I saw-Love, O, Mystere. If you have never seen one I would suggest Mystere. I also liked Mamma Mia and Phantom (but I saw it in NYC).
For top shows, it is not cheaper to buy tickets in advance but you should do so anyway. They sometimes sell out weeks in advance so if you don%26#39;t buy the ticket you may not be able to see the show you want once you get there(or get the seats you want). Some of the less popular shows are available at the 1/2 price kiosks for that day only.
I would recommend Mystere, My boyfriend was not too psyched about it, but I talked him into going, and now he raves about it more than I do! I think you%26#39;ll be happy with most of the big name shows, but if you haven%26#39;t experienced a cirque show, I would highly recommend it.
If you want to laugh non-stop, go see Carrot Top. I wasn%26#39;t sure about seeing him when my husband bought the tickets, but wanted to be a good sport and I went anyway. I am so glad I did, we laughed for the ENTIRE show. He was wonderful, funny, fast, intelligent and made me look at some normal everyday things with a whole new perspective. Bought the tickets half price at Tix4tonite.
Thanks for all the tips. I%26#39;ll start wroking on the guys to see if they%26#39;ll agree to Mystere or O. If not, I saw that Jay Leno is performing the weekend we are there so maybe we%26#39;ll go see him.
Thanks again.
I think many people love Carrott Top. It%26#39;s a show I wouldn%26#39;t have seen ,but being without a show one night last year, I decided to try it and laughed aloud the entire time. Laughter is good for the soul.
For a couple your age, I%26#39;d reccommend MGM. You%26#39;ll find plenty to do there.
Enjoy your trip.
