whats it like in vegas at this time?

vegas in december?

Quiet. Well, quieter. And cold.

vegas in december?

thanks

but it cant be as cold as uk

It depends on when you go. There is a very big rodeo in town until the 9th and things will be crowded . From then until after Christmas it is less crowded- but in Vegas that is a very relative term since it is never really quiet or deserted. Some shows might be dark. As NYE gets closer things again get crowded, more expensive and just plain crazy. NYE is an absolute zoo- you are either going to love it or hate it (I didn%26#39;t like it at all).

I was there in December for 7 years and the temps can be all over the place. The highs are usually in the low 50s/60s during the day and much colder at night. Some years the highs were in the 70s(not while I was there) while other years the highs never made it out of the 30s. Here is a site that will give you the daily temps:

www.wrh.noaa.gov/vef/climate/page14.php

I found it best to bring clothes that can be layered- tops with long sleeves, a mediumweight sweater and a jacket with a lining-this way you will be prepared for anything. Check a weather site just before leaving so you have a better idea of what the weather will be like during your trip.

If you are going during the Christmas season I have 2 suggestions for a Christmas-y feeling: Ethel M Cactus Garden does a wonderful job- thousands of lights on their cacti, carols(at times) and it just looks great after dark. The casino that does the Christmas bit best- Sam%26#39;s Town- they also do a great job of decorating their indoor park. Have fun!

Heck no, it will be just like an English summer. The temps will be between 11 and 78 degrees F, cloudy, gray, and windy, with a chance of rain and snow showers. So bring the suntan lotion and join the rest of the SMURFS down by the pool sipping afternoon tea.

I%26#39;ve been there in December and will be again this year. I find the temps quite comfortable (especially in the sunshine). Sometimes at night, you might need a light jacket. Still very pleasant. Just not swimming weather. I was there last year at the end of the Rodeo show and my timing this year is the same. I like it when it is not so busy. No lines to get into places, tables are not as packed, and traffic is less. BUT....still plently of people for a fun time. Enjoy.

im going 3rd to 10th dec

is this ok or is it in middle of rodeo?

Looks like it runs 11/30 - 12/9.

We are also staying at the Flamingo from the 27th to Jan.5th !

Just booked my flight tonight with Delta non stop from Bradley (Ct.) for $347 each RT. Most I ever paid for airfare (in May we took Southwest for $238 each) but I booked it now because I don%26#39;t think it will come down any further and Southwest wants almost a hundred bucks more each RT. Fri. the price was $396 but it just came back down today. Expensive time to go but we got a great rate on the room ($600 for 10 days including New Years Eve) so that makes up for it.

Have fun. It will be here before you know it.

Bob

we were there over NYE two years ago and it snowed
