$150-$180 a night hotel
August is generally a cheap time in Vegas. What you need to remember is that weekends are a lot more expensive than midweek in Vegas. A room that%26#39;s say $99 Sunday-Thursday can be $250 on Friday/Saturday, more if it%26#39;s a very busy weekend.
For your budget you could probably get somewhere very nice indeed in August for a Sunday-Thursday stay. This year you can certainly get Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars, Mandalay Bay and Mirage for that money or slightly less and Wynn for only a little bit more. For a first time visit with %26#39;wow%26#39; you wouldn%26#39;t go far wrong with Bellagio.
Go to the hotels%26#39; websites and sign up for promotional emails, and keep checking this forum - plenty of great advice here.

mojitospecial, my kid has a sat dish for sale, its up in Hawijah, works good.
The Rio has all that, the very large rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, and overall attractive property %26amp;pools, are very nice
see destination360.com
It is 1 km off strip, with free shuttles to mid strip
Go Sun-Thurs nights only...prices and crowds are kill-joys Fri-Sat
Mirage, MGM Signature (more like $200), Mandalay Bay, Paris, are good , can%26#39;t-miss choices
Lower mid-range priced sparklers TI, MonteCarlo, NYNY, Luxor, MGM (NY and TI have smaller pools) These will please you if the above are too high-priced
5 stars to price-check for possible $180 rates some weekdays, Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian
I have yet to stay at the Wynn but as for all the others I think you would enjoy the Mirage the most. Nice rooms and great pool area. Have fun.
Last half of Aug generally has better value for money in rates offered
I don%26#39;t know about you, but there is no way I%26#39;d be able to wait a year before going to Vegas. Thankfully I%26#39;m going tomorrow.
