does anyone know of any hotels that offer discounts for airline emps, I heard that MGM props will give $10 a night off with your airline id.
airline emps! HELPbump
airline emps! HELPI am a former airline employee-downsized out the door 18 months ago. On my first trip to Vegas, I was able to get a rate at the Monte Carlo for about $45 a night using my ID. Now, this was a Tuesday in mid-December, one of Vegas%26#39; slowest times of the year. If you stick to Sunday-Wednesday and avoid the big conventions, you are more likely to get a good rate. The only way to find out though is to call the hotels directly. They don%26#39;t advertise that discount on-line. Good luck and I hope you don%26#39;t get ';bumped'; off the flight!
Hey Mojito,
Why you hatin%26#39; so much?
You having a bad day, or are you just a jack a$$ in general?
I must have offended you with my question, please accept my humble apologies, in looking at your recent posts, they are all so much more important and informative than mine.
I was informed by a co worker yesterday that hotels will discount up to 80% off rates if you show your airline id.
Do you think that is worth looking into? I do.
If you have so much money that you don%26#39;t look for savings, send it my way. I would gladly gamble your extra away.
Go gett%26#39;em Cooper !!!!
Haven%26#39;t seen you in a long time. How yah been???
been good, was wondering about you the other day.
How is your back?
We are booking Sept 15+16 and then again will be there around the same time we were last year in Dec.... you going in Dec again?
Ummm, I don%26#39;t work for an airline but my buddy and his wife do and they live in Vegas.
I called him concerning your question and he laughed.
You see rooms in Vegas are generally cheap anyway. When they aren%26#39;t it%26#39;s the weekend or a busy holiday and they really don%26#39;t need your business to fill the rooms. I don%26#39;t know what carrier you are employed with, but you might try asking human resources at your company if there is a list of hotels that extend those types of discounts.
Otherwise, he suggested you may try say... Days Inn or the like in Boulder or Henderson and see if they can accomodate you.
From the sounds of it, It looks like the person at our office that filled me in must have gone a long time ago, sounds like this was the days of old.
The weekend we were looking at going, the hotel I was looking into was $299 a night, so, when someone told me they thought we could get it so deeply discounted, it wouldn%26#39;t have made sense not to at least ask around.
Good thing we have these forums to ask those that know isn%26#39;t it?
This is similar to my sister%26#39;s steadfast belief that hospital workers shouldn%26#39;t get speeding tickets. Go figure that one out!
Probably she went a long, long, long time ago like the one the other day who wanted to know if they still had the $5 limos. Pheww-5 bucks won%26#39;t even cover the tip nowadays.
