Some are some aren%26#39;t. The weather should still be decent in late October so it depends on wqhich hotel you are staying at-e.g the pool at Pars is open but the one at Bally%26#39;s will probably be closed.

If the pool is to be a focus of your visit I would email the properties directly to ask if the pool is open. Late October is generally still warm enough to be pool weather, but check to make sure.

if you are coming to vegas for the first time with a five year old, stay off strip at a nice place, marriot, renaissance(sic) etc.

pick a few nice ones and email about the pool.

Many hotels, like Rio, keep one pool heated all the time. Tropicana, (Rio%26#39;s polar opposite in room quality) has an indoor-outdoor heated pool. 9-5 is typical pool open hours

The water will not be warm if not heated, so verify direct with hotel on availability of heated pool.
