Downtown hotels- 4Queens or Main St. Station?

I read the reviews on these two. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on one over the other? Sounds like Main St. has a pretty good buffet.

Main St. has a great buffet. They also have very nice rooms. They are old but not in a dingy way. If you sign up for their players club you also recieve many comps throught out the year after you stay. My frien only played there for a short time ( a few hours) and she is recieving promos all the time for free nights and food. The players club also includes the Freemont Casino. Worth checking out!!!

My choice would be Main Street Station...have stayed there twice. MSS has the best buffet in Downtown. Golden Nugget%26#39;s breakfast buffet is a close second.

Brenda :~)

Has anyone stayed at 4 Queens? Your opinion please.

I visited LV three times this year and will be going again in a few weeks.(Stayed DT each time) I am basically looking for a clean room and helpful staff. I stayed in the Four Queens twice in the last two years. IMO, it was fine. Of all the places DT,however, MSS ranks at the top.

I stayed at the 4-Queens in Feb. 06. The rooms are small but clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It is in the perfect location. I have received promos from them on a regular basis. I have never stayed at Main St. Station. I did do some gambling there. It is a nice place. The only thing I didn%26#39;t like about MSS was it is a little off of Fremont but, any place downtown is close. When I go back to Vegas I will probably stay at the 4 - queens again. You can%26#39;t beat a sure thing. The Freemont has a good buffet. Probably not the best but, not bad.

MSS is a little off Fremont. Looks like a block or 2 on the map. But is it a huge block like on the strip?

no. not a long walk. mss has an awesome buffet for the price. they could charge alot more. when i was there last time, local cops were eating there. must tell you something. they can eat anywhere and chose this place. rule of thumb. if the locals go there, then it is generally pretty good.

all of downtown is easily accessed by foot. MSS is just off the end of freemont by the plaza and is walkable at any time of day or night if you are just smart and mind your own business. it is an urban area like any other city in the usa and if you know how to handle yourself you can walk around there whenever you want.

crime is everwhere in our world, and a smile and a no thank you while you keep walking is usually all the defense you need around freemont. it is very safe if you are a little street savy.

MSS is a real neat place, and i would love to stay there. i like the old fashioned feel of it. better than the 4 queens per all the reviews. i would try it it out if it was me. staying at the vegas club in sept. for one night to get away from strip and plan on spending lots of time there. would stay there but goin cheap for night downtown. only gonna sleep for a few hours while downtown.

Susa: The easy way to get to MSS is to go thru the California...use the escalator to get upstairs and walk thru w/o ever being outside...especially good at night...I have stayed at the Four Queens and it is ok...will be there again in Sept...reasonable prices (35 dollars), clean and central Fremont location...I have been to the MSS buffet many times and, IMO, it just doesn%26#39;t seem as good as it was a couple years ago...good price, though..I usually catch Sam%26#39;s Town shuttle (by the California ) and like their buffet (4.99 lunch)and variety of slots and VP....

I stayed at the 4 queens in April and it is just fine. We are staying there again in Nov. I myself would choose that instead of MMS just because it is in the center of Fremont St. There are alot of places so close by to eat at. The rooms are an average size not big like Golden Nugget but theres nothing wrong with them. The elevators are a little slow but they are ok. The valet parking is very good. No safes but they have saftey deposit boxes. They have in room internet. I really liked the quick walk to get out the front door and have all the other casinos within steps. MMS to me is just to far away to keeping walking back and forth. (not real far but far enough). 4 Queens rooms look just like you see on their website. Its like being center strip.

Thanks, I still like the sounds of both of these places. Will probably let the price decide, since trip is a ways off.

Is there a 2 for 1 MSS buffet coupon that is easy to get?
