We have a deal in the Flamingo for 400 dollars for a thurs to Sunday...18 - 21 January.
Thinking of going more romantic and paying 825 dollars for the Bellagio..stretching a little financially...
Is the Bellagio worth it? Do we have a chance of a better deal? What are chances of an honeymoon upgrade (by no means do we expect one)
Or are we better off staying in flamingo and spending extra on a show and a great dinner?
Bellagio - yes or NoThe Flamingo is good but the Bellagio (opposite) is better and more grander.
Its worth a try asking for an upgrade but by no means guaranteed.
Also consider Venetian ,Wynn, Caesars and Paris. Do shop around on the net as you can get good deals for the post Christmas period.
Bellagio - yes or NoFlamingo rooms are nice enough, but not exactly romantic. Bellagio is beautiful and elegant, but I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;re going to find anything much cheaper; 825 sounds about par for the course for a 4-night weekend. For an inexpensive, romantic room, I would pick a tower room at the Luxor. Don%26#39;t sacrifice a dinner and show for a nicer room.
you could always try Priceline and specify 5 * on the strip, that way you would be ensured an really nice hotel and room at a good price.
Bellagio is beautiful, it would make the honeymoon extra special but keep in mind, when staying there, nothing is cheap. You might want to check out a Spa Suite at Monte Carlo, I%26#39;m not sure of the prices but might be better than the Bellagio prices, also check out the Venetian prices.
The Flamingo? Are you kidding me? No contest between the two, they are at different levels altogether.
Stay at the Flamingo if you%26#39;re going with a bunch of buddies for a weekend binge and want cheap rooms... Going for a romantic escapade/honeymoon with a GF/wife, etc? It%26#39;ll cost ya --and yes, you will spend more time in the room, especially if it%26#39;s plush.
Bellagio is a safe bet but the Wynn is also swell (and the beds are the most comfy in all of Vegas) The Venetian is also recommended (Tower rooms/concierge level often for the same price)
You won%26#39;t regret spending just a bit more...
If I were you, I would split the difference and stay somewhere nicER than the Flamingo but not $425 more worth of nice. Gabby%26#39;s idea of pricelining a 5-star was a good one. The Paris would also be a good nice-but-not-break-the-bank-nice option
You don%26#39;t want to sacrifice a fun night out for a better room, but the Flamingo is not the most romantic hotel. It%26#39;s not a dump, but some of the older rooms are a bit grim.
dont know what prices you might get but you might want to consider 2 nights in both hotels-best of both worlds so to speak. only across the road from each other so moving wouldnt be much hassle, would let you experience just a bit more of vegas.
just an idea.

Honeymooners,
Bellagio is a very nice hotel and a stay there is sure to be enjoyed. However, a perfectly nice trip can be had at the Flamingo with lots of fantastic memories of a perfect honeymoon in the US. It all boils down to the amount of money you have to spend. With all of the information on these boards, I guess, if you still have to ask for advice - well - I%26#39;d say, stay at the Flamingo and spend the extra money on the show and a romantic dinner. Save Bellagio for a special anniversary and then relive the honeymoon in an extra special place.
Have a great honeymoon and I hope you enjoy your trip to the United States!
Honeymooners, If you choose the Flamingo, you will instantly regret it when you walk into Bellagio. Chances are good that they will give you some kind of upgrade, not a suite probably but a nicer view and a room in the spa tower which is newer and nicer. The rooms at Bellagio are really upscale and include better linens and amenities.
On a vacaction, you might not spend too much time in your room. on your honeymoon I suspect you will be in the room a fair amount. Additionally, the location can%26#39;t be beat and that is an important factor in Vegas where everyone strolls around checking out the other hotels and casinos.Food is more expensive there because generally speaking it is better quality, but hey you%26#39;ll be living on love anyway. Oh don%26#39;t be concerned with saving money for shows and those other hokey attractions. The old style Vegas shows such as Jubilee or Folies Bergere are cheap and are best for your first time in Vegas. Spend you $$ on a nice room, Champagne and some decent food. on your honeymoon you are the entertainment.
I think you should at least stay at Bellagio for two nights. I highly recommend getting a fountain room. It%26#39;ll be worth the extra cost.
