Ellis Island,dates the $4.95 steak is not available

Just returned the 24th, and i think I have the ';skinny'; on Ellis Island steak deal...

Let me start off by saying the steak is of good quality and

one of the best deals in Vegas..Hey if you are staying at Ballys, Paris or Flamingo, or that area, it is worth a walk to EI.........

They serve the $4.95 sirloin steak 24/7..EXCEPT, on every other Monday between the hour%26#39;s of 10 pm mon to 7 am tuesday..

Not just the steaks, as they do a deep clean in the kitchen, but a small breakfast menu is available...

So, they were cleaning, August 21st....Do the math from there...

Thanks, but I%26#39;m guess there are VERY few tourists that would be looking for that meal during those days/hours.

Acutally, that%26#39;s exactly where we were planning on heading next month after getting into Vegas around 10 Monday night!

We%26#39;re getting there Sept. 4 so let me do some math....that would be a cleaning week...and I bet it doesn%26#39;t matter that it%26#39;s a holiday. Plan B - Peppermill. It%26#39;ll have to do, I guess. Unless someone can suggest another good, cheap greasy spoon near Bally%26#39;s.

I%26#39;ll eat anyplace that does a bi-weekly 8 hour scrub down!

The steak may not be USDA Prime, but it%26#39;s not contaminated or growing bacteria.

Hat%26#39;s off to the owner.

If you are looking to save a few bucks, and breakfast, there is alway%26#39;s the Barbary Coast..Right across the street from Ballys..They offer a couple of specials

Pancakes and Bacon, or Bacon and egg%26#39;s..$3.95 I think..BUT, that is before 7 AM...And watch out, a pot of coffee is 5 bucks or so..

As far as Ellis Island, you would be surprised to see how many people like a good steak dinner for Breakfast...I was..A lot of ';locals'; eat there..

And a 20 oz beer brewed at EI is only a buck, 24/7
