Sometimes It's The Little Things....Room Rates...

I booked a Tower Deluxe room at the Mirage a month ago for our upcoming stay in August. Today I decided to check their rates again and found that the going rate now for my 4 night stay is $120 less in total than when I originally booked...Yay! Now I have even more money to play with while I%26#39;m there...or maybe I%26#39;ll make a nice dinner reservation somewhere that I haven%26#39;t tried and surprise my hubby...any suggestions? I%26#39;ve already been to Prime, Mon Ami, Delmonico%26#39;s, and Centerstage. I keep reading about Hugo%26#39;s Cellar on here...where is it at? Thanks!!

Hugos cellar is at the Four Queen in Old Las Vegas.... Freemont Street. Your husband may like it because it has this old world charm-- cark woods, leather booths.. food is good.

I can%26#39;t think of any other steak houses other than the one at Circus Circus.. I was going to have dinner there...but walking though the hotel made me sick.. so we left.. It was a run down, smelly hotel with too many kids for my liking.

OH !!! forgot... Try Craftsteak at the MGM

Hugos Cellar: 4 queens. Excellent restaurant:

Hugo%26#39;s Cellar is in Four Queens downtown.We%26#39;re going there to celebrate 20th anniversary next month.Going there based on reviews on this site.Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for the replies! Now I just have to choose... :)

nob hill is wonderful!!

excellent service, great eats, great wines!

a little on the pricey side, though. we dropped $400 (including tip)on dinner. but hey--we%26#39;re not big gamblers, we%26#39;re big eaters, and the mgm actually comped us a night for our disgustingly expensive dinner!

stayed in the west wing--loved it!!

also tried seablue (a little disappointing) not up to the level of aqua

emerils (don%26#39;t waste your money--we were hesitant to go there, and should have heeded our hesitance). my husband%26#39;s ettouffe(sp) and barbecue shrimp are much better

had a fantastic meal at the ?border grill? at mandalay--try the cucumber mojitos!!

bellagio buffet waaaaaay overrated

had a really good meal at the venetian--can%26#39;t remember the name of the restaurant--i think it started with a ';z';. very personable manager there

Hey FLChick, you don%26#39;t happen to play poker at UB do you? There%26#39;s a lady there that goes by your name.

FLChick,

Did you call or e-mail Mirage to update your reservation?

I%26#39;ve seen the rate at Luxor go down about $150 since I booked and sent them an email today asking them to update the rate. No response so I%26#39;m just making a copy of the e-mail and the website. Hope that%26#39;s all I need to do.

Enjoy spending the money!

nmsouthwest, when I%26#39;m getting a rate lowered I always call them, get the name of the person who confirms the rate has been changed and get them to send me an email so I%26#39;ve got it in writing.
