Me and my wife are going to LV first week of October. We are looking at renting a car not knowing what is the cheapest way of moving along the strip. taxis/monorail/Bus. My question. Is parking free at most places along the strip?
Parking $$$ in Las VegasParking is free at most hotel, if you choose to valet park....you should tip them $2-$3 when you pick up your car.
Parking $$$ in Las VegasI should re answer the question.
Parking is free at all hotels on the strip.....just park your car in the parking garage and try and remember where you park your car, (what level you parked).
If you park downtown, and decide to self park, make sure you bring in your parking stub to have it validated.
You can drive up to the valet parking and when you return, tip the driver a few dollar.....if you valet park downtown, ask the driver if you need to validate anything..
Be sure to get a good map (What%26#39;s On has a nice one. The strip and downtown in the front and the rest of the LV area in the back) and use the back and side roads as often as possilble. Strip traffic can be a challenge if you are not used to driving in a big city. You can usually avoid the strip. I would never think of going to Vegas without renting a car. You don%26#39;t have to worry about cab fares, a crowded bus, hiking to monorail stations and things like that. You can also go to off strip casinos, attractions and restaurants. Parking is easy and cheap-at most a tip for valet parking. Enjoy your visit.
As others have said, parking is free at pretty much every hotel on the Strip, if you self-park. If you valet, you%26#39;ll have to tip.....if you want. The traffic on the Strip can be HORRIBLE, depending on the time of the day and what day of the week of it is. vp03 has a good suggestion about getting a map and learning all the side streets.
